The twenty six ambassador first met at Sekolah Menengah Lambak Kiri in the Brunei-Muara District on 8th November,2009. Though the starting time was 8 : 30, most of us arrived around 8 AM, training ourselves to be punctual.
First, we took our attendance and start the training with Surah Al-Fatihah by Ahmad Aqil.
Starting from 8 o'clock, we were first given a paper with questions, and our goal is to fill in the blank with our new friends' name with the correct description. The activity was fun, and certainly we know each other, well, partially (Cause everyone is panicking cause it was a race after all!). After that "competition", we introduced ourselves to each other, writing everyone's details down on the logbook.
And what do you guess? Cikgu Adi, one of our chaperons, asked us to memorize our new friends' name (Yeah, all of them), and, no wait, there aren't actually time for us to memorize. Right after the introductions, we immediately had to say our new friends' name out loud, and if I'm not wrong, everyone panic at first, (Not Willy and Fa'izan, cause they are the first one).
After that, time flew really fast, and it's 9 30. We had our breaktime, eating noodles until aroun 10 o'clock, and resume our "ice breaking" activities which are meant to create relationships between the students and remove the shyness.
After 10, we were planning our performance until 11 o'clock. Then, Ketua Unit Antarabangsa, Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, Cikgu Hajah Noridah Abdullah gave advices to us not only to focus on JENESYS only, but also on our examinations, since we are on the examination season on November.
The clock struck 11 30, and it's time for us to give a speech presentation about a small part of Brunei (For example, climate, population, the food, the tradition and so on.) just to see who have the quality to be the leader of this group of ambassadors.
Time passed by fast, and it's 12 o'clock, and boy, do we focus on our examinations and remember the advice from our teacher. Due to the reason that the Form Five students are having their Physics examination on 9 November, we ended our first day of training and leave the school.
The training ended with Ahmad Aqil reading the Surah An-Nas.
Below are pictures during that day:
